Work in progress for ‘Clicks Per Minute’ (working title), a new project which consists of a series of videos, glowing images and installations.
‘The Nutcrackler’ is the newest part of the ‘Clicks Per Minute’ series. The uranium glass figurine is lit by UV light and the video of the rotating figure, accompanied by the classic music box song ‘The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy’ by Tchaikovsky, is interspersed with sounds from the Geiger counter reading of this figure. It is both a standalone work and an example of how this piece is imagined in an installation setting.
